Description

As CAD/CAM continues to replace traditional workflow and becomes the standard of care, digital solutions are a fundamental consideration for any modern practice. This 2 day program will involve the fundamentals of CEREC, working on models AND on PATIENTS in real time! A hands-on CAD/CAM course like no other to get you up to speed in your practice the following day.

Course Objectives

  • Understanding how CAD/CAM scanning works intraorally

  • Appreciate the difference in scanning in the mouth and on models

  • Learn proper technique and workflow

  • Understand and learn about available materials

  • Introduction to software - hands on design

  • Understand basic preparation design principles for CEREC

  • Learn how to design and finish real cases in real time

  • Appreciate the importance of an ideal preparation

  • Understand how to esthetically enhance restorations

-All cases must be minimally prepped prior to course day.

-A consent form will be provided for the patient prior to review.

-All patients will receive 50% off their total cost. This will be billed at the course office.

Instructor: Dr. Jeff Sumner

Bio

Dr. Jeff Sumner graduated from the University of Guelph where he was a President’s Scholar, Canada Scholar and Academic All Canadian Athlete in swimming before moving on to receive his DDS from the University of Toronto in 1997. Jeff's passion for success and excellence has resulted in him growing his once humble practice into one of the most successful practices in the Kitchener/Waterloo region.

Dr. Sumner was one of the early adopters of CAD/CAM technology and believed that it would play a vital role in the future of the profession. He has been a “digital dentist” since 2010, and has since become one of Canada's top Cerec mentors. Jeff's clinical artistry with CAD/CAM is showcased internationally and he thrives on sharing how to master efficiency and profitability using the digital workflow.
