The maintenance and adherence to a quality IPAC program requires the entire team’s participation. The elements of an IPAC program will be reviewed with specific attention to the common key concepts that require additional focus. Comprehension of risk management is at the forefront of any successful IPAC program. This course will frame IPAC elements from the lens of risk management offering critical thinking and analysis to solve any IPAC dilemma together as a team. When we understand risk management together we can mitigate hazards together and be on the same page for our commitment to public safety as well as safeguarding the dental professional and practice. The new 2023 CSA Reprocessing Standards and the new 2024 CDHO Guidelines will be discussed. This course will offer a motivational approach that is engaging.

• Frame IPAC from a risk management approach.

• Work as a team to be on the same page in understanding the specific key elements within an IPAC Program.

• Identify common IPAC components that tend to stray away from best practice.

• Assess a typical IPAC day in a dental setting for doe’s and don’ts.

• Realize our duty to uphold a unified IPAC culture.
