This comprehensive course is designed to equip dental practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to safely and efficiently perform complex tooth extractions on patients. Led by experienced instructors, this hands-on workshop will focus on advanced techniques and strategies for managing challenging cases with precision and confidence. Whether you're dealing with impacted teeth, anatomical complexities, or challenging patient scenarios, this course will provide you with the tools and insights needed to navigate these situations effectively.

Course Details

  • Assessment and treatment planning for complex extractions

  • Anesthesia and pain management protocols for challenging cases

  • Surgical techniques for extracting impacted or partially erupted teeth

  • Managing complications and emergencies during extractions

  • Socket preservation and grafting procedures

  • Minimally invasive extraction techniques for preserving surrounding tissues

  • Utilization of advanced instrumentation and equipment for complex cases

  • Post-operative care and follow-up protocols for optimal patient outcomes

  • Multidisciplinary approaches to complex extraction cases involving orthodontic or periodontal considerations

  • Case presentations, discussions, and hands-on practical sessions to reinforce learning

  • Hands-on live patient days (4 patients in total over 2 days)

Course Objectives

  • Classify patients based on level of risk and necessity of third molar and complicated extractions.

  • Recognize and understand radiographic imaging modalities to assess possible risks involved in third molars or complicated extractions.

  • Apply the skills obtained in this course to safely, efficiently, and confidently extract third molars and complicated extractions in indicated cases.

  • Assess, identify, and manage potential surgical and post operative complications arising from complex extractions

  • Completion of Third Molars Online Modules (16 hours).Access given upon registration (Self- instructed modules)

Sunday 7:30am- 4:30pm Live patient cases followed by de-briefing

Additional Information

-All cases MUST be approved prior to booking.

-A consent form will be provided for the patient prior to review.

-You will have a total of four cases, two per day with 1 patient being a possibly shared case.

-All patients will receive 50% or more off their total cost.

-You will receive access to the Third Molars Online 60-90 days prior to the course date.

-You MUST bring minimum 3 patients of your own.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION/ REFUND POLICY PRIOR TO COURSE DATE:

You will have access to the Third Molars Online modules 90 days prior to the course date. This will allow adequate time to complete prior to the hands on component with live patients. Payment must be paid in full 90 days prior to the course and NO refund will be issued. Half payment is allowed 90+ days with the remaining due, 90 days prior. Instructors

Dr. Nekky Jamal

Bio

Dr. Nekky Jamal was raised in Calgary, Alberta where he attended the University of Calgary and received a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences and Economics. Nekky then moved to Saskatoon where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan with his main goal of changing the patient experience within Dentistry. Since 2009, as a general dentist, Nekky has had a keen interest and developed extensive experience in helping anxious and fearful patients through Sedation Dentistry in Lloydminster, Alberta. Nekky is currently a member of the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta and Canadian Dental Association. Nekky is also the Chair of College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta Sedation Committee.

Dr. Jamal is revered as an internationally acclaimed speaker, sought after for his expertise and insights in Extractions and the application of Platelet Rich Fibrin/growth factors in dentistry. Notably, he pioneered the largest Wisdom Tooth Extraction Course and resource for dentists worldwide, elevating standards and sharing invaluable knowledge within the profession. Through Dr. Jamal's Wisdom Tooth Extraction Course, he has helped thousands of Dentists in 33 countries. Dr. Jamal has also lectured on Oral Surgery and Extractions to thousands of Dentists at the largest dental conferences in the world including the Pacific Dental Conference, the Ontario Annual Spring meeting, the Greater New York Dental Meeting and many more.

Complementing his professional achievements and extensive experience in dentistry, Dr. Jamal is deeply engaged in humanitarian efforts, notably with Change for Children. Over the years, he has volunteered his skills and mentored other Dentists on numerous dental brigades across Central and South America, providing vital care to underserved communities. Dr. Jamal's impact extends to founding the Quench initiative, collaborating with Change for Children's Nicaragua Water Project to address water scarcity in the Chinandega region. Through Quench, he has facilitated the drilling of 12 water wells, transforming lives and fostering sustainable development.
